CERAMIC ART

As a ceramics instructor, Robert Maxwell regularly demonstrates the basics
of clay modeling and throwing on the wheel. He may assign a class a
particular theme to explore-like "Pop Art" or "Fantasy." After that, he
does what all art teachers do: he stands back and observes the working
habits of the students, gives encouragement when needed, and awaits the
eventual outcome of their individual creative accomplishments.
Work by a few of the exceptional high school students from Robert Maxwell's
beginning and advanced ceramics classes at Ramona over the years are
showcased here.
